From the shop floor to VP of Operations — four and a half decades of making manufacturing run better. I help companies sharpen how their operation runs, and coach the people who run it day to day. Remote-first, on your terms.
Not theory from a binder — hands-on manufacturing experience earned over a full career.
I came up through manufacturing as a master journeyman machinist and worked my way to Vice President of Operations over a 45-year career. Along the way I earned a degree in Organizational Management from Cabrini University and a Green Belt in continuous improvement, implemented lean manufacturing programs, and managed multi-million-dollar operating budgets and capital expenditures. I know the floor because I lived on it — and I know the office because I ran it.
I've run and improved operations across a wide range of manufacturing — machine shops big and small, injection and blow molding, mold making and machine building, medical device, defense work, and commercial construction products. Across every one, the core problems were the same. I'll learn your product fast; the operational fundamentals never change.
The same operations expertise, aimed at two different problems.
I review your operation from what you share with me, pinpoint what's holding it back, and give you a clear, practical plan to fix it. Straight advisory — focused and project-based, never a long-term assignment.
One-on-one coaching for someone stepping into — or leveling up in — an operations role: a new supervisor, an ops manager, or a shop owner. I help you build the operational judgment that usually takes years to learn the hard way.
General manufacturing operations. Not sales, not HR, not finance — the floor, the flow, and the processes that move product out the door.
Cutting waste, 5S, standard work, and value-stream mapping to make the whole operation flow better. (Green Belt.)
Finding and clearing bottlenecks, tightening cycle times, fixing scheduling, and getting more out of the capacity you already have.
Driving down scrap and rework, catching defects before they escape, and building quality systems that actually hold.
Maximizing uptime and running repair-shop and maintenance operations the right way.
A clear-eyed look at where automation actually pays off in your operation — and where it doesn't. Readiness, fit, and realistic ROI before you commit the capital.
Cost reduction, smarter plant layout, and productivity gains that show up on the bottom line.
A short, no-obligation call to talk through what's slowing you down. If I can help, we scope it from there. No pressure — the intro call is free.
